A Swindon restaurant that closed suddenly earlier this year will soon be back in business.
Pick Up Point stopped trading at its Devizes Road premises in late July after serving customers there for just over two years.
The former home of the burger and grill specialists, which opened in October 2021, has since been emptied out.
Pick Up Point’s owner and head chef Josh West has now revealed that he managed to find a suitable new site in the same area which will allow him to relaunch his venture under a new name yet to be revealed.

Josh said: “To those who shed tears and sought counselling when the Pick Up Point grilled it’s last burger, fear not, for I am back, in a new kitchen and after a wonderful summer of cuddling the cat.
“I have been fortunate to partner with the team at Jack's at 120 Victoria Road, and so will be bringing first, my Sunday Roasts every week from 12.30pm to 4.30pm and then a new evening menu with burgers and new dishes on Fridays and Saturdays."
“I told the Jack's team that we have some die-hard PUP loyalists so I hope to see you very soon.”
Josh will start serving his own range of dishes at Jack's on Sunday, September 22 before revealing a new evening menu for Friday and Saturday nights from October 4.
It is not known at this time why the restaurant, which had been reviewed well with an average score of 4.8 from 117 reviews on Google, left its previous home
But news of it doing so was met with dismay from locals.Â
It had been described by one reviewer as "the ultimate burger experience in Swindon."
Another said it provided them the "best burger I have ever had".
Josh had previously plied his trade at The Hop pub nearby before deciding to have a go at starting his restaurant.
When he opened the venture in 2021, he said: "I wanted to bring great food, and I mean really great food, to Swindon so here we are."
Pick Up Point will become the second business to leave an established home in Old Town to move into Jacks this year.Â
The Core Juicery had been serving smoothies, fresh juices, acai bowls and healthy brunch dishes to locals since it launched in 2013 from its former home in the same building as Los Gatos.Â
But last month it too moved into the same building as Jacks.
