The ‘terrified’ fiancée of a victim who was violently attacked in his own home fled the scene to get help.

Robert Frasonski, 25, of Summerleaze, Trowbridge, filmed himself kicking and stamping on his victim’s head at his home in the early hours of April 16, 2023 while the victim’s fiancée and her young daughter were in the property.

They had to flee the scene in Trowbridge and ring the emergency services, while Frasonski, a trained boxer, beat the man in a prolonged attack as he lay unconscious.

He was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol with life-altering injuries and spent several months in a state of deep unconsciousness.

Following the attack, the victim will need 24-hour nursing care for the rest of his life and has been left permanently disabled.

Wiltshire Police issued a statement at the time confirming Frasonski was arrested following an incident at around 5:55am inside a flat in Manor Road, which was cordoned off by a heavy police presence.

After receiving treatment for minor injuries at Royal United Hospital in Bath, Frasonski was remanded in custody at Gablecross Police Station.

Frasonski was sentenced at Bristol Crown Court on Monday, September 9 and pleaded guilty to causing grievous bodily harm with intent at an earlier hearing in July.

Ruth Sands, a Senior Crown Prosecutor with CPS Wessex, said: “Robert Frasonski clearly felt he had a grudge to settle with his victim.

“He was trained as boxer and knew how to deliver devastating blows that have caused deliberate, severe injuries.

“He even went so far to do such damage in front of his terrified partner and her young child.

“The victim in this case is unlikely to live independently again. Frasonski stole his and his family’s future.

“This outcome underscores the serious consequences of such violent actions. We hope this sentence brings some measure of justice to the victim and his family.”
