A nail business which was forced to relocate last month is still searching for a new home in Swindon.
Gemma Nails announced on Instagram that the business would be leaving its salon at the Orbital shopping park after Sylvester King, of Route 8 Barbers, revealed plans to refurbish the unit and turn it into a new hair and beauty salon.
The owners took to Instagram to apologise to their customers, informing them they would be closing with “last minute notice” and they would have to move to a new unit.
A few weeks later, on Friday, August 23, Sylvester opened Justi’s Hair and Beauty salon next door to Route 8 Barbers.

On August 24, Gemma Nails took to Instagram to announce they were “struggling” to find a new premises and there were no updates on when customers can expect to see the business return.
They added: “We all know that you are desperately waiting for us. We miss you so much and hopefully will see you as soon as we can.”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for Gemma Nails said the owners are hoping to open a salon in Old Town or Swindon town centre, but discussions are ongoing.
