A man accused of assaulting a police officer and being drunk and disorderly at Swindon Pride 2024 has pleaded not guilty.
Paul McDonald, 57, of Emlyn Square, Swindon, was one of two people arrested at the LGBTQ+ celebration on August 10.
The Pride march started in Regent Circus and led to GWR park, where an event with live music, stallholders and rides was held - including a headline appearance by the Cheeky Girls.
McDonald made his innocent plea at Swindon Magistrates’ Court on September 10, represented by Mark Glendenning.
His hearing was originally listed for August 27 but was adjourned due to illness.
