A Swindon pre-school and nursery is celebrating the success of a recent Ofsted inspection.
Staff at Inquisitive Minds, which is based in the Central Community Centre on Emlyn Square, were thrilled when inspectors awarded their workplace an overall rating of Good following a visit on Friday, July 12.
The report included praise for the one-to-one support offered to little ones, the effective safeguarding measures in place, the use of funds to broaden children's experiences with weekly clubs, and the manager’s leadership and commitment to staff wellbeing.
It said: "All children make good progress, including those with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those in receipt of additional funding.

"Children are content and happy in this welcoming setting. They feel safe and develop a strong sense of belonging as staff get to know children and their families well.
"The manager has a clear and strong vision for children's early education.
"She collaborates with her staff team to ensure that the curriculum aligns with the needs and interests of the children."
The pre-school was also commended for its teaching approach, which encourages independence skills from a young age, and enhances children's communication skills.
The youngsters are encouraged to think about the diverse world around them and value children's different backgrounds. For example, they try foods from their own cultural backgrounds in meals prepared fresh on-site by the cook.
The inspectors added: "Staff implement a curriculum that considers the needs and diverse backgrounds of all children.
"Staff use words from children's home language. For example, they greet them in Hindi."
Healthy lifestyles are actively promoted by the setting, and staff were found to communicate "well" with parents, and they also "use methods to overcome any language barriers" and regularly invite parents in for stay-and-play sessions with their children.
Parents were found to value these sessions and told the Ofsted visitors that they learn from staff about early education, describing them as "incredible people".
Director and manager, Charmaine Peters-Benjamin, said: “I am thrilled with our latest Ofsted report.
“The team at Central Community Centre has worked extremely hard to maintain our high standards of care and education.
“We are an amazing team who are dedicated to providing the best outcomes for the children within our care. Knowing that the parents describe us as 'incredible people' means the world to us.
“If you are looking for a space for your child in a warm and nurturing environment, please pop along to see what we have to offer.”
