A Thai cafe that opened in Wiltshire earlier this year was one of several businesses given new food hygiene ratings.

The ratings from multiple food hygiene inspections that took place around the county in August and September have now been revealed.

One of the venues to be visited by inspectors was WaraThai Cafe at The Bridge in Chippenham, which learned its first rating since opening in June.

The cafe was awarded a score of three-out-of-five, meaning hygiene standards on the day of inspection were “satisfactory.”

There were a host of perfect five-out-of-five ratings handed out but there was disappointment for the Tale of Spice takeaway in Trowbridge, which was told “major improvement is necessary”.
