Customers at Wetherspoon pubs in Swindon will be able to enjoy a pint of beer for less than two pounds this week.

The Savoy in Regent Street, the Sir Daniel Arms in Fleet Street, and The Dockle Farmhouse in Bridge End Road will soon be serving a pint of Ruddles Best for £1.79 and Bell’s whisky (single measure, inclusive of mixer) from £1.25 to £1.79 Plus, five other alcoholic drinks - a pint of Worthington’s Creamflow ale (from £1.86), a pint of Bud Light lager, a pint of Stowford Press Apple Cider, Au Vodka, and XIX Vodka (single measure, inclusive of mixer) - will be available for £1.99.

This offer will be available from Wednesday, September 18.

The pubs will have two food offers: a mix and match of wings, bites and strips, with a choice of spicy chicken wings, battered chicken breast pieces, Southern-fried chicken breast strips, or coated Quorn nuggets which will cost £2.99 each, two for £5.49, and three for £7.49.

The Savoy pub manager Kelly Wood said: “Our pubs are known for offering excellent food and drink at great value-for-money prices.

“We believe a pint of Ruddles Best, as well as the other drink and food offer, represents fantastic value.”
