Firefighters dealt with a burning pick-up truck and a vehicle crashing into a Swindon house over the weekend.
A pick-up truck caught fire while on Darby Close near the Household Waste and Recycling Centre in Cheney Manor Industrial Estate on Sunday morning.
Two fire engines – one each from Westlea and central Swindon’s fire stations – attended the scene after being called at 8.53am on September 15.
A Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “One breathing apparatus wearer used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which destroyed the vehicle.
“Our stop was at 9.26am.”
Separately, one crew from central Swindon’s fire station responded to calls from Crampton Mews off Crampton Square in Greenbridge at 1.47pm on Saturday after a vehicle collided with a house.
The DWFRS spokesperson added: “The crew checked the safety of utilities and the neighbouring property and handed the incident over to structural engineer from Swindon Borough Council.”
