Residents have been able to glimpse inside a historic Wiltshire cinema closed for years while major works continue.
The Palace Cinema in Devizes Market Place has been closed to the public for several years while a comprehensive renovation project is carried out.
On Saturday, September 14, the doors of the cinema were once again opened to people as part of Devizes Heritage Open Day 2024, organised by the Trust for Devizes.
Pictures taken during the day show the current state of the century-old venue.

Work is visibly continuing at the site ahead of an eventual reopening.
Last year it was announced that the cinema was due to reopen by the end of 2024.
In December operations manager Spencer Clark told this paper that owner Picturedrome Cinemas had already invested over £1 million into trying to reverse “50 years of decay.”
Improvements that have taken place over the last few years include a rebuilt ticket office, refurbished stairs leading from the foyer, and works to the upper seating area, as well as major works to the building.
A range of other locations around the town hosted events for the public during Heritage Open Day, including The Lockup, The Masonic Hall, St James’ Church, St John’s Church, and Wiltshire Museum.
