Progress is underway at a new town centre restaurant and takeaway opening in Swindon.
The Biryani Lounge is expected to open on 21-22 Regent's Street in Swindon, which was formerly home to STAX, later this year.
The Stax and Snax takeaway closed in January this year having only opened in June 2023.
Now new green signage at the restaurant located between One Beyond and Desserts 4 describes the incoming Biryani Lounge as offering 'authentic Hyderabadi Dum Biryani.'
This is a rice dish from Hyderabad, which is famous for its Biryani all across India.
The restaurant, which is believed to be a Reading-based company, promises to offer affordable "mouthwatering meals" and a "super fast restaurant and takeaway service."
A spokesperson for The Biryani Lounge said: "We are aware of the constant increase in the cost of living and we want our clients to be able to enjoy our great food, which is why we have made sure our prices are not overwhelming.
"We guarantee that eating from our menu will satisfy your appetite without breaking the bank."
Alex Hill, of Kilpatrick & Co, added: "We are pleased to complete this letting and provide a new food outlet for the public to experience and get another vacant shop in the town centre reoccupied."
The exact opening date for The Biryani Lounge has yet to be confirmed.
