Purton residents are being urged to have their say on the future of the parish.

The Purton Neighbourhood Plan Revision, which sets out the vision for the parish, including objectives and policies on housing, the environment, transport, and facilities, is open for consultation.

Residents and other interested parties can comment on the first draft of the plan until 5pm on Tuesday, October 22.

This forms part of Purton Parish Council’s ‘Pre-submission Regulation 14 Version Consultation’.

The plan is reviewed and revised every five years to ensure it aligns with the community's needs.

The council said the community's involvement is the most important factor in shaping the plan, as feedback helps outline the priorities and objectives within the document.

The parish council will provide various means for people to get involved, including online, at venues, through consultation events, and at a question and answer session.

Clerk Deborah Lawrence said: "Whilst neighbourhood planning often seems a subject that is difficult to relate to, we would encourage everyone to get involved in whatever way suits them, because this is their chance to have a say, in the future of their parish."

Details of venues, consultations, and locations can be found in the Purton Magazine.
