Dancers from Swindon who went viral and made the national news last year will be dancing again in central London come the weekend.

Steve Rouse, a dance teacher and passionate advocate of the EU,  his wife Marisa Zoeller and members of his family and friends make up the group Dance Europa.

Last year at the Rejoin the EU march in Westminster and Parliament Square they went viral on social media after a video was posted on X. They were featured in the national press and even on the Jeremy Vine show on Channel 5.

Steve and his colleagues in Dance Europa will again be entertaining those taking part in the National Rejoin the EU march this Saturday. Dressed in blue and yellow they shall be demonstrating a variety of dance styles from across Europe.

Although some of the coverage of their performance last year could be fairly described as somewhat satirical Steve said: “Our aim is to get the attention of the media and politicians to put rejoining the EU on the agenda, and then keep it there until we're back where we belong, in the EU.”

The third national Rejoin the EU march will take place on Saturday September 28. It sets off from Park Lane at 1pm and finishes at Parliament Square where there shall be a rally from 3pm.
