Patients at the Great Western Hospital will receive gifts donated through an event at Cotswold Airport this Christmas.
The Flight Before Christmas, a festive experience held at the Gloucestershire airport, has partnered with Brighter Futures, the registered charity of Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, for the second consecutive year.
The event will feature a 'giving tree' which will invite visitors to donate presents, which will then go to patients.
The Flight Before Christmas team said: "Partnering with Brighter Futures was such a pleasure last year, so it was a no-brainer to partner with them again this Christmas.
"Our event is all about celebrating the magic of Christmas, and we wanted to extend that by giving back to the community.
"The giving tree allows our guests to play a part in making someone’s holiday a little brighter."
Brighter Futures raises funds to support staff education, purchase equipment, and improve the environment for patients across the Swindon hospital.
The Flight Before Christmas has been held at Cotswold Airport since 2022, using the decommissioned jumbo jet, Negus 747, as its venue.
It has grown in popularity, with 2024 expected to be its biggest year yet.
The giving tree will be accepting donations throughout the event, from November 23 to Christmas Eve.
