More show homes have been opened at Taylor Wimpey's controversial Robin Gardens development.

The three-bedroom Brandywell and four-bedroom Owlerton show homes are now available to view

Show Business client account manager Charlotte Darby said that both were designed with "modern living at [their] heart"

Darby explained that the Brandwell focuses on creating a warm and cosy feeling and is full of character in each room.

She added that the Owlerton was designed with minimalism and modern influences in mind.

Taylor Wimpey Bristol sales and marketing director Rob Curry said: “As the development progresses, it has been wonderful to welcome visitors and see their reactions to the show homes.”

The Blunsdon development has proven controversial after homes were built before the Abbey Stadium redevelopment was finished.

This prompted a council investigation into potential breaches of planning conditions during which Taylor Wimpey maintained it had done nothing wrong.

Swindon Borough Council imposed conditions that a greyhound racing and speedway stadium must be built prior to developing the homes, but although it has only partially been constructed, Gaming International has reached the required minimum of ten milestones stipulated.

Fans of Speedway Stadium are now calling for it to be finished so that the sport can return.
