Hundreds of pounds worth of items were allegedly stolen from a Wiltshire supermarket, sparking a police investigation.

Officers have launched a CCTV appeal after more than £300 worth of products were reportedly stolen from the Aldi store on Bradley Road in Trowbridge.

The alleged incident took place at around 9.45am on August 16, when an unknown suspect is believed to have entered the supermarket, filled a trolley with items and left without paying for them.

Police have now released CCTV images of a man they are hoping to speak to in connection with the offence.

A spokesperson for the force said: “We are appealing to identify this man in connection with a shoplifting offence in Trowbridge.

“We believe this man may be able to help us with our enquiries.
