A driver who has been arrested on the M4 by Wiltshire Police is revealed to be a "highly wanted person".
Wiltshire Police's Road Unit had been out patrolling the M4 in Wiltshire on Saturday afternoon, September 28, when officers raised concerns about a silver Citroen driving down the motorway.
After stopping the car, police officers arrested the driver on suspicion of a lack of insurance.
But when officers looked further into the driver's details, they found that the driver was a "highly wanted person who had been evading the courts in Swindon".
"The Road Policing Unit stopped this French classic on the M4," said a spokesperson for the policing team.
"No insurance was the matter at hand, but further investigation revealed the driver is wanted times three by His Majesty’s courts."
The driver, who has not yet been named, is now being held in custody following the arrest.
