Armed police helped box in a driver on the motorway after concerns were raised they were at “high risk” of harm.
Roads Policing Units (RPU) and Armed Response Vehicles (ARV) from Wiltshire Police were alerted that the driver of a Mercedes on the M4 may have been at risk of harm on Thursday, October 3.
Officers were deployed to intercept the vehicle and boxed it in on the motorway, without making contact or causing any damage.
Police have since confirmed the occupant was not found to have been at risk of any harm.

They added that no further action will be taken in connection to the incident.
A spokesperson for the force added: “RPU and ARV intercepted and boxed the Mercedes after concerns were raised regarding the occupant being high risk of harm.
“Thankfully the occupant was all ok, no contact, no damage.”
