There were lengthy delays on the A419 near Swindon after a trailer overturned in a crash.
A trailer that was being towed by a car tipped over on the major A-road at around 5pm on Saturday, October 5.
Police were called to the scene, on the northbound carriageway just past the junction for Blunsdon, and closed one lane while the road was cleared.
This caused several hours of severe traffic during which many motorists reported long delays to their journeys.
Some claimed there was “standstill” traffic on the route for a significant time.

Police reopened the closed lane at around 8.30pm and traffic began to flow as normal again.
Nobody was injured in the incident and police did not make any arrests.
A spokesperson for the force added: “We attended a road traffic collision at 5pm on the A419 just after the Blunsdon Junction on the northbound carriageway.
“A trailer being towed by a car tipped over closing one lane which was subsequently reopened at about 8.30pm
“There were no reported injuries or arrests.”
