The mayor of Swindon opened a plumbing merchant's new branch in the town last week.

Plumb Centre's new Swindon branch was officially opened on Tuesday, October 1, during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by the mayor, councillor Imtiyaz Shaikh, and branch manager Simon Leycock.

Councillor Shaikh said: "I was delighted to officially open Plumb Centre Swindon.

"It’s fantastic to see a company that has a long history in the town investing in a modern new facility that ensures that heating and plumbing professionals in this area have access to the very best products and service. I wish Simon and his team every success."

The new branch, located in the town centre on the Elgin Industrial Estate, provides access to a wide range of heating, plumbing, and renewable products.

Mr Leycock said: "As a business, we pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service, delivered in a friendly, fun, and welcoming environment by our expert local team.

"I’m extremely proud of the new branch, I think it looks fantastic, and I’m confident that it’s going to be a big hit with tradespeople across Swindon and the wider area."

He added: "We’ve got an extensive range of products in stock, from heating, plumbing, and renewables, to pipes, fittings, valves, parts, and drainage.

The launch of the Swindon branch is being celebrated by Plumb Centre with trade days throughout the first two weeks of October.

Key suppliers such as Worcester Bosch, Baxi, and Wera will be on-hand to showcase their products.

There will also be a merchandise giveaway and a prize hamper of tools and accessories worth hundreds of pounds.

With more than 420 branches nationwide, Plumb Centre is the country’s largest specialist merchant. It offers more than 30,000 products either in branch or delivered.

Its new branch is located at Unit 3, Dunbeath Court, on the Elgin Industrial Estate, and is open Monday to Friday, 7.30am-5pm, and 8am to midday on Saturday.

Customers can now use Plumb Centre’s recently launched app, available on both iOS and Android platforms, to manage all aspects of their workday from their phones.

They can also benefit from the PlumbPro loyalty scheme, which gives access to rewards, promotions, and cashback.
