A Swindon man who was charged with attempted murder after an alleged stabbing at a residential home has been named.
Wiltshire Police were called to a property in the Tadpole Garden Village area of Swindon during the early hours of Saturday, October 5 after reports of a stabbing.
A man in his 20s was taken to hospital after sustaining suffering injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
37-year-old Levi Wickett, of Lumb Close in Tadpole Garden Village, has now been named as the man who was arrested and later charged with attempted murder.
Wickett was taken into police custody as a suspect and made his first appearance at Swindon Magistrates Court on Monday, October 7
The defendant did not indicate a guilty or not guilty plea, and his case has now been sent to Bristol Crown Court for the next hearing on Friday, November 8, 2024.
He has been remanded in custody until that date.
Police officers dealing with the case have emphasised that there was no further risk posed to the general public following this incident.
