There is a wide range of support on offer for older people living in Swindon.
Age UK Wiltshire's Supportive Independence service assists with practical challenges, offering information and advice, and helping people to become better connected with their communities.
Hazel from Age UK Wiltshire said: "I’d really encourage people to get in touch with me to arrange a chat.
"I can give information, support, and help with a wide range of issues, including helping people to get out and about more, helping to put more money into people’s pockets, supporting people to take action to reduce their risk of falling, and helping people to be more connected with their community."
The charity often helps people who are facing significant life changes such as declining health, bereavement, or increased care needs.
Hazel added: “Our aim is to provide holistic support, to help people to be able to live independently for longer and to overcome the barriers to having a good later life.”
Age UK Wiltshire is part of the Swindon Falls Collaborative, aiming to keep people active to reduce the risk of future falls.
