A flood warning has been issued for Swindon after heavy rain and rising river levels have caused concern.
The flood alert issued by the UK Government warns that rivers are likely to burst their banks and roads may become flooded.
The warning is currently in place at the River Cole, Dorcan Brook and South Marston Brook for the East Swindon and South Marston areas down to above Buscot Wick.
"Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected to continue today, October 10, especially in the Inglesham area," said a spokesperson for the government.
"The rainfall is forecast to clear this morning leaving the rest of Thursday mostly dry.
"Friday is expected to be dry, but we expect river levels to remain high over the next few days.
"We are monitoring the situation."
This latest flood warning comes after multiple floods have already hit Swindon this year.
In September 2024, Wiltshire was among the 10 English counties to be battered by record-breaking rain, in the wettest month since rain records began in 1836.
Outside of Swindon, rural roads near Melksham in Wiltshire are already being affected by mild flooding which is causing disruption.
