Police have found a large Nitrous Oxide canister in an anti-social behaviour hotspot in Swindon.
Officers from the Stratton, Central Swindon North and West Swindon Policing team were conducting patrols around Toothill when they found the canister in grass near to the Mannington Roundabout.
These Nitrous Oxide canisters are commonly used as a recreational drug and they are illegal.
Police have seized the canister to ensure it is destroyed.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “PC HUTTON and PCSO BELL were conducting patrols around the Toothill area of Swindon, This area has previously had issues with Anti-Social behaviour (ASB).
"Whilst on patrol they came across a large Nitrous Oxide canister located on the grass area near Mannington Roundabout.

“The canister was seized and will be destroyed.
“These canisters and the nitrous Oxide inside are not being used for their original purpose. People are using these to get high.
“We urge members of the public to report any concerns / ASB via 101 or online if they see this sort of activity in the area. Recreational use of Nitrous Oxide is illegal so if you suspect something please report it.”
