A Swindon-based medical manufacturer has helped community groups with sponsorship support.

Vygon UK, based in the Pierre Simonet Building in Gateway North, Swindon, has donated to two organisations. This is part of the company's effort to create a positive impact outside of its commercial operations.

The company gave T-shirts to 2Step Dance Academy's troupe for their trip to Disneyland Paris, helping them feel pride and united as they performed on an international stage.

Vygon UK is also the sponsor of the 2024 Swindon & District Community Football League Cup Competition. The company says that this has been met with 'enthusiasm and appreciation.'

Martyn Rosewell, chairman and joint cup secretary of the Swindon & District Community Football League, said: "We are incredibly excited to welcome Vygon UK, whose commitment to excellence in the healthcare industry mirrors the dedication and passion we see on the football field, as our new cup sponsor.

"This sponsorship will help us continue to grow and improve our competitions, benefiting our entire football community.

"We are looking forward to working together and making this season the best yet."

Vygon UK regularly supports charities and raised funds for PINNT and Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) at events in Southampton and Stirling earlier this year.

However, its contribution to 2Step Dance Academy and the Swindon & District Community Football League is the first step in its journey to supporting more groups and charities based in Swindon.

Katie Kingston, head of marketing and communications at Vygon UK, said: "At Vygon we are dedicated to making a meaningful impact and positive contribution to society.

"Local clubs and community groups are often the beating heart of their communities, and we believe supporting them is a powerful way to give back.

"Having seen the impact our donations have had to date – proof that even small contributions can have a big effect – we are committed to building even stronger community connections in 2025.

"We aim to support more local charities and groups through fundraising, gifting and sponsorships, and by sharing our time and resources, next year."
