A man has been taken to hospital after emergency services were called to an incident near a busy roundabout in Swindon.
Crews from the police, ambulance and fire services rushed to the Bruce Street Bridges area in Swindon around 5pm on October 9 following concerns for a man’s welfare.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “We responded to concerns about the welfare of a man near Cheney Manor Industrial Estate, in Swindon, at 5pm yesterday (09/10).
“Road closures were in place around Bruce Street Bridges roundabout to enable emergency services to assist him.
“The man was taken to Great Western Hospital to receive appropriate care and we left the scene at around 6pm.”

Several road closures were in place during rush hour and motorists were advised to avoid the area, with the roads reopening shortly after they left the scene around 6pm.
One witness described seeing six to seven police cars and a cordon behind the houses on Rodbourne Road in an alleyway off the Cheney Manor Industrial estate, and others reported seeing activity around Raychem Lagoon.
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 5.25pm on Wednesday October 9 to an incident near Swindon. We sent one double-crewed ambulance and an operations officer to the scene and conveyed one patient by land ambulance to the hospital.”
