A Swindon comedian has shared footage of his two fails on a TV quiz show - over 15 years apart.

Ivo Graham from Swindon first appeared on the hit TV show The Weakest Link in 2008 as a floppy-haired 18-year-old with high hopes.

Having just left Eton College and beginning his university career studying Russian Literature at the University of Oxford, the Swindon teen seemed a perfect fit for the general knowledge quiz show.

But despite his complete disaster on the show, the 18-year-old from Swindon went on to become the youngest-ever winner of So You Think You're Funny in 2009 and was later nominated for Best Newcomer at the 2010 Chortle Awards.

Reappearing on the celebrity special version show 16 years later, Graham, who is now an established comedian, recalls how he was "humanely destroyed" for his failed answers.

"I was very bad at the quiz, and I wasn't terrific at the old banter either," he told host Romesh Ranganathan.

His 2024 appearance seemed to go similarly, as Graham appeared against other celebrities including JB Gill, Helen Flanagan, and Toyah Willcox, and continued to get questions wrong.

"I wanted to get further than I did as a boy, and I got to the same place," he said.

"Nothing ever changes in life, you just make the same mistakes over and over and over again, but with different hosts."

Questions which tripped Graham up in the 2024 episode included: "In anatomy what 'v' is a name for the small bones that form the spine?" and "In clothing, knee-length shorts that became fashionable with holidaymakers are named after which island in the Atlantic?"

Now sharing clips of his double-fail on the quiz show to social media as part of a promotion for his new tour, Graham has captioned the compilation video as: "Those who do not learn from history."

The comedian's new autumn tour called Grand Design will not stop off in his hometown of Swindon despite him being a continued supporter of Swindon Town Football Club.

Swindon residents will instead have to catch him in nearby tour locations including Salisbury, London and Bristol from October 2, 2024, to November 29.
