A Wiltshire pub and restaurant has reached the finals of a prestigious national food awards.

The finalists for the Food Awards England 2024, the ninth edition of the annual event, have been revealed.

The Poplars at Wingfield, on the outskirts of Trowbridge, has reached the final of the Restaurant of the Year (South and East) category.

Run by Creative Oceanic, the awards are based on public votes and recognise the best of England’s food industry in a range of categories.

The village venue, which also has a traditional bar area and pub garden, thanked customers for their support and asked for support in their bid to be crowned a winner.

The winners will be announced on November 4 at a ceremony in Manchester.
