A man claiming to be a local Christian preacher has been banned from loud preaching in Swindon's town centre after reportedly being arrested several times.
Shaun O'Sullivan may be a familiar face to Swindon residents, as he has regularly preached from the town centre using a loudspeaker to catch the attention of passers-by.
However, after several complaints were made about Mr O'Sullivan to Swindon Borough Council, the preacher has been banned from doing so for alleged 'anti-social activity.'
It comes after the man took to TikTok and filmed himself shouting at Wiltshire Police officers for having allegedly arrested him.

"Arrest a preacher for always telling me about God," he shouted into the loudspeaker.
"I had no choice but to come out here. Are you too scared to come out? Well, you're not too scared to keep arresting me in front of my kids.
"If you want to be a gangster come to Swindon you're fine, but if you want to be a preacher be careful."
Previous TikTok videos posted by O'Sullivan show him filming when he allegedly breaks his police bail and claims he has been "attacked for the freedom of my speech."
In one video, he refers to himself as "Swindon's most hated man".

A spokesperson for Swindon Borough Council stated: “We have received numerous complaints about Mr O’Sullivan’s behaviour in the town centre, particularly relating to the use of his loudspeaker.
"It was clear from the complaints we received that the persistent, abhorrently loud noise, was having a detrimental impact on the quality of life for residents, shoppers, and local businesses.
“We have therefore taken action to stop this anti-social activity by serving Mr O’Sullivan with a formal written warning that if he does not stop using his loudspeaker in the town centre he will be served with a Community Protection Notice.

"This could result in him being issued with a fine of £100 or lead to prosecution as breaching a Community Protection Order is a criminal offence.”
O'Sullivan's TikTok account 'awakenthestreets89' currently has over 8,000 followers and he has continued to post videos.
