A Swindon nursery with an unusual name has received its first Ofsted rating since opening a second branch.
The Nursery of Narnia at Moredon Community Centre currently provides childcare for 27 children aged one to four and is the second Nursery of Narnia branch in Swindon.
The branch first opened in April 2022 after director Jane Brown set it up in the site of a closed-down preschool.
"When it closed down they were selling off some of the resources and my partner and I went along to have a look," she told the Adver.
"Somehow it went from just going to buy a few toys to taking over the provision, which is owned by the parish council.
"We've put a lot of time, effort and finances into bringing the building up to an attractive standard."
Now it seems all of the hard work has paid off, as the childcare setting has been rated 'Good' in all areas in its first ever Ofsted inspection.

Visiting the centre on August 27, 2024, inspector Louise Phillips said: "This inclusive nursery welcomes children with open arms.
"Children enter happily and are eager to see their peers, and staff work hard to build strong, nurturing relationships with the children and families in their care.
"Leaders and staff have created a curriculum that focuses on children developing their independence and overall confidence and children show they feel safe and secure as they freely explore the stimulating environment.
"Staff show an interest and ask questions about what they have created. They continuously praise the children for their efforts, which builds their confidence and develops high self-esteem."
The latest rating marks the nursery's second 'Good' after its other branch on Winton Road in Stratton was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in May 2022.
According to director Jane Brown, the glowing review is all a testament to her staff's hard work.
"We set up the second branch because there was a need for provision in that area for young children and the team there have worked really hard to turn the place into the setting it is.
"Because it's our second branch, it's not our first experience of Ofsted and we had an idea of what to expect.
"I'm just super proud of my team there - they're all really inspirational people."
Explaining the reason behind The Nursery of Narnia's unusual name, she added: "It took a long time to pick the name.
"But we decided to go down the route of something that represents what childhood should be all about and to us that's magic and awe."
