A popular takeaway serving up two-foot wide pizzas has received its first food hygiene rating, five months after opening.
The Fat Pizza officially opened on Station Road on Wednesday, May 22, and has been busy serving up pizzas, mega milkshakes and more.
The company already has a number of stores elsewhere in the country, but a visit from the Food Standards Agency on Monday, September 9 marked the first rating for the Swindon site.
Now joint owners Rahees and Reema have been handed a five-star food hygiene rating.
The takeaway was rated 'Good' in all areas which include hygienic food handling, cleanliness and condition of facilities, and management of food safety.
Speaking to the Swindon Advertiser at the opening of the business, Rahees said: "The Fat Pizza is known for our biggest pizzas around.
"We do 24" Pizzas which are 2 feet long. Each slice is one foot long and it has 16 slices of pizzas in it.
"The pizzas are so big that they do get stuck in customers' doors."
One JustEat reviewer wrote: "These pizzas are exactly how I remember. I'm so glad they are in Swindon."
The takeaway business, which also sells gourmet burgers, milkshakes, cookie dough, waffles and more, has been contacted for further comment regarding its latest food hygiene rating but has yet to respond.
