A historic 17th century Wiltshire country house hotel has been listed for sale with a price tag of £2.25 million.
The Moonraker Hotel at Trowle Common near Trowbridge, is being sold by its owner, Tudor Hopkins, of the Sleeping Bear Hotels group.
The sale of The Moonraker, if and when it is completed, would mean the group will have disposed of all of its hotels in the group.
Mr Hopkins, managing director of Sleeping Bear Hotels, said: "Yes, it would mean no more hotels left in the group."
He runs the Sleeping Bear Hotels group with Lucy Hopkins. The Moonraker Hotel is a poplar location for weddings and other events.
Earlier this year the group also sold the 19th century Stanton Manor Hotel near Chippenham, which it acquired in 2018.
It also owned the White Hart Hotel in Wells, Somerset, before selling it two years ago.
The Moonraker Hotel was listed for sale on Rightmove and Zoopla as well as other commercial property websites on Wednesday, September 25.
They describe it as an “attractive Grade II* Listed 23 bedroom Georgian manor house that has been extended and has further scope for expansion.”
The hotel is located in 3.8 acres on the edge of the county town of Trowbridge, close to Bradford on Avon and Bath.
It boasts 23 well-presented bedrooms with en-suite facilities, as well as a restaurant, bar and extensive wedding/function facilities.
Outside, there is a kitchen garden and paddock, a large car park and surplus outbuildings described as being “ripe for redevelopment”.
