A driver faces a fine for failing to stop at a junction in an area of local concern.
Locals alerted police that drivers are “still” failing to stop at the stop sign on the junction of High Street and Church Lane in Purton.
One driver was caught doing exactly this and was issued with a ticket today, October 15.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Today PC Thomas Armstrong and PC Beth Butwell have been patrolling Purton High Street as part of our regular priorities.
“It has been raised to us that motorists are still failing to STOP at the STOP sign on the junction of The High Street/Church Lane in Purton.
“As such a ticket was issued today for failing to stop at the STOP sign.”
