A nursery's "expertly designed" curriculum received praise from Ofsted during a recent visit which saw it rated 'good'.

The Old Station Nursery, located in Filkins, near Lechlade, provides year-round full-time care for children aged two to five.

Ofsted inspectors found staff "know and understand the children very well” and they "provide a tailored and varying curriculum of activities to ensure that curiosity is fostered in children of all ages”.

The report said: "The senior team and staff have expertly designed a curriculum to include skills that build on children's unique experiences, interests, and what they know and can do."

The nursery provides a stimulating environment, expanding children’s learning through clubs, enhancements, and its curriculum.

Katie Houghton, nursery manager, said: "We are incredibly proud of our recent 'good' grading from Ofsted, which recognises the hard work and dedication of the whole team."

She added: "Children’s learning and development are at the forefront of what we do every day, however, one of the best parts is seeing that the children are happy and love coming to nursery."

The Old Station Nursery Group is the ninth largest nursery group in the UK, caring for 5,355 children in 77 locations nationwide.
