A driver has had their car seized and faces a huge fine for driving without insurance or MOT.
The black Peugeot Astra was loaded onto the back of a removal lorry yesterday afternoon, October 17, in the Royal Wootton Bassett and Cricklade area.
The driver was reported for the offences and could face six points on their licence and a £300 fine for driving without insurance and a further £100 for no having an MOT.
The officers who discovered the failures, PC Butwell and PC Freeland, shared a picture of the stop on social media.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Whilst on mobile patrol PC BUTWELL and PC FREELAND have seized a vehicle for having NO INSURANCE and NO MOT.
“The driver has been reported for the above offences and faces 6 Points and £300 fine for driving without insurance and a further £100 for driving with NO MOT.”
