A Wiltshire charity that helps people who have been subjected to domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking has opened its first retail store in Trowbridge.
FearFree’s first pop-up charity store opened its doors for the first time on Thursday, October 17 at the Gateway shopping centre in Bythesea Road.
Former FearFree service user and supporter, Sam Camden cut the ribbon before the store opened its doors and shoppers were welcomed in.

It also has an in-store Sanctuary to provide a safe place for people to contact the FearFree team for support.
This means that people can access help and support outside their home without leaving a digital footprint on their mobile phone or computer.
FearFree chief executive officer, Claire Marshall said: “It’s an immense privilege to open FearFree’s first ever store which marks a huge milestone in the charity’s history.
“As well as providing an exciting retail option, our new store offers volunteering opportunities and a fabulous calendar of in-store events making it a hub for all the community. “
The new pop-up store in Trowbridge, the town where the charity was formed 32 years ago, is home to a trove of pre-loved fashion, homeware, furniture, toys, books and more.
Money raised from the store will raise vital funds to help the charity continue to support approximately 12,000 people across the South West each year.
Some donations to the store will also be used to make the charity’s Emergency Escape Kits. These contain clothes and toiletries that are given to people who need to flee their home at short notice without any of their belongings.
The store is open Monday to Saturday 9am – 5pm.
The FearFree helpline on 01225 775 276 is open weekdays 9am-5pm. If you are in immediate danger, phone 999.
For general support the 24/7 national Domestic Abuse helpline is available on 0808 2000 247.
