Additionally, the gym has a new consultation room and dance studio.

A membership offer is now available until Wednesday, October 30 and the council hopes this will get residents in to try out the new facilities.

Cllr Ian Blair-Pilling, cabinet member for leisure, said: “We are keen to encourage people to prioritise both their physical and mental wellbeing, which is why we made the decision to invest into our facilities to provide the highest quality equipment and opportunities.

“For those people who aren’t yet a member but want to come along and try out the new facilities, you can take advantage of the re-opening membership offer and save £25 – just speak to the team at the centre.”
