An application has been made for the grant of a premises licence for Swindon Christmas Market, which would allow traders to serve alcohol.

The licensing application was made by LSD Promotions to permit the sale of alcohol for consumption on and off the premises of the Christmas Marker in The Parade between the hours of 10:00 until 20:00 on Monday to Sunday.

The application submitted to Swindon Borough Council also covers provision of recorded and live music between the hours of 10:00 and 20:00 on Monday to Sunday.

Swindon Borough Council and LSD Promotions have teamed up to launch Swindon’s Chalet Christmas Market and these provisions would enable the market to ensure everyone can get into the festive spirit to enjoy mulled wine and music.

Festivities will kick off on Saturday, November 23, with the Christmas Lights Switch On, and the market is set to run until Saturday, December 21.

The market will include a food court with seasonal treats as well as handmade gifts from local artisan traders, roaming entertainment and live performances.

LSD Promotions has previously held popular market events in Oxford, Stratford-upon-Avon and Bicester.
