A small area of woodland has gone up for sale in Swindon.
The land is situated to the rear of Marlborough Road and adjoining residential properties surrounded by several large trees.
It has been listed for online auction by Strakers with a £5,000 guide price plus additional buyer’s fees, after being advertised for £10,000 last month.
The legal pack outlines that the open space does not have any previous or ongoing planning permission applications and the site is not served by a sustainable urban drainage system to prevent flooding.
Interestingly, legal documents show that the land is being sold by a man who resides nearly 20 miles away in Marlborough and does not live in a property near the woodland.

Strakers refer to the site as a “parcel of woodland” and the listing reads: “You can view the land at anytime. Please wear sensible footwear as the land is overgrown in areas.
“From Marlborough Road walk into the woods and take the footpath on the left. When the path bears sharp right, the land is in front of you.
“The land is accessed via a footpath and is covered by an abundance of trees. It has a maximum width of about 12m and a depth of about 62m.”
