Bus operator Stagecoach has been shortlisted 34 times at this year's UK Bus Awards.

The company, which operates buses in Swindon, has nominations in 14 of the 21 categories at the awards, including the flagship award of Top National Bus Depot.

Stagecoach's regional bus companies have been recognised for improvements for customers and communities, environmental initiatives, growth ingenuity, and marketing excellence.

This comes after a successful 2023, which saw Stagecoach teams across the UK win 18 awards.

Stagecoach's chief executive officer, Claire Miles, said: "These 34 nominations are a credit to our fantastic teams across the UK who work tirelessly to connect their local communities to the people and places that matter most."

The full list of shortlisted Stagecoach entries includes nominations in the Marketing Campaign of the Year, Culture Change, Engineer of the Year, London Bus Garage of the Year, Unsung Hero, Bus and the Community, Manager of the Year, Young Manager of the Year, and Going for Growth categories.

Peter Collins, Adam Pugh from Stagecoach West, and Richard Burns have been nominated for Engineer of the Year.

Lee Arndell, Martin Haig, and Shaun Clark are nominated for the Unsung Hero award.

The Manager of the Year category sees Martin Marsh, Ian de Chastelain, Charlton Thornhill, and Dai Samuels all shortlisted.

George Sloan from Stagecoach West and Ben Houghton are in the running for Young Manager of the Year.

Several Stagecoach depots, including Grimsby, Fenstanton, Chester, Peterborough, and St Andrew's, are in contention for the prestigious Top National Bus Depot award.

The Going for Growth category includes a nomination for the Cheltenham 94/94X service from Stagecoach West, while Stagecoach Manchester is in the running for Top City Operator.

Partnership for Excellence: The Peter Huntley Memorial Award category sees several nominations, including for the Student Travel Pass and the 'Let’s Go Car Free' initiative.

The Net Zero Project from Stagecoach East is also in the running for this award.

The newly-added Recruitment and Retention category sees nominations for the Stagecoach London Recruitment Campaign and the Grimsby Depot.

The Marketing Campaign of the Year category has seen nominations for Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire, Cumbria Tourism and Avanti West Coast, and Lets Go Car Free.

The Culture Change category has seen Stagecoach South East's People at the Heart Capability policy and Stagecoach East Midlands' Improving Operations and Commercial Relations scheme earn recognition.

The results will be revealed at the UK Bus Awards ceremony in London on November 26.
