After locals described seeing a crime scene at an otherwise quiet Swindon street, Wiltshire Police have provided an explanation.
Witnesses called the police after seeing men acting suspiciously near Lawn Woods.
Officers responded to calls from Wigmore Avenue at around 7.55pm on Monday, October 21.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Upon attending the scene, one of the three men stopped an officer to report injuries to his upper arm which are not thought to be serious.

Witnesses at the time described seeing a number of police officers in the area and a crime scene, as well as police vehicles
Officers were observed taking statements and swapping the pavement and bagging evidence outside.
However, it is not clear if any witnesses are being sought over this ongoing incident as Wiltshire Police could not provide any more information other than the above brief statement when asked.
