Plans have been lodged for an outdoor seating area as a new High Street Starbucks branch edges closer to opening.
Starbucks signage has now been installed at one of the units that make up the former Wilko building on Chippenham High Street, with the global chain returning to the town after 12 years away.
At the time of writing, work to transform the inside of the former retail unit into a coffee house remained ongoing.
The chain is yet to confirm when the new branch will open, but reiterated it was looking forward to serving customers in Chippenham town centre again soon.

A spokesperson said: “We look forward to bringing the Starbucks Experience to customers in Chippenham in the near future and will be in touch once we have more specific plans to share.”
Meanwhile, an application for a permanent pavement licence at the property was submitted to Wiltshire Council in October.
If approved, this would allow a seating area at the front of the premises for the sale of food and drink.
A consultation on the application is ongoing and will continue until October 30.
