Swindon cadets and instructors have been recognised for their exceptional contributions.
On Thursday, October 17, 2024, the Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire presided over the annual awards ceremony.
The event saw one cadet being honoured as the Lord-Lieutenant's Cadet, while two cadet force adult volunteers (CFAVs) received prestigious awards.
Cadet Corporal Daisy Edmonds was appointed as Lord-Lieutenant's Cadet for Wiltshire.
Recognised as an exemplary cadet and a distinguished ambassador for Wiltshire ACF, she will join three other cadets from the Combined Cadet Force and RAF Air Cadets in the county.
Together, they will take part in a number of prestigious events, accompanying the Lord-Lieutenant to high-profile occasions throughout the region, including royal visits and civic ceremonies.

Captain Carol Maison received the Certificate of Meritorious Service for her steadfast dedication in difficult circumstances and her consistent readiness to excel.
Her selfless commitment to the ACF serves as an inspiration to both her CFAV colleagues and the cadets.
Captain Maison was not able to attend the event, so Colonel Britt Haggerty accepted the award on her behalf.
Colonel Peter White, who has dedicated more than 30 years to Wiltshire ACF, was the recipient of the Chief of General Staff’s Commendation.
Having advanced through the ranks, Colonel White served as the county training officer for a decade, where his innovative training methods were widely recognised.
He was appointed Deputy Commandant of Wiltshire ACF in 2020.
In September this year, Colonel White was chosen to become the Commandant of Wiltshire ACF and has recently assumed this role.
Colonel White embodies the highest ideals of a Cadet Force Adult Volunteer.
He was given the commendation for serving as an 'exceptional role model' and how he has positively impacted numerous lives.
