National Express will be running coach services throughout the festive season.

The public transport operator will run services on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.

There will be more than 340 journeys on Christmas Day alone, serving almost 95 locations including towns, cities, and airports across the UK.

The company has stops in Swindon as well as the Coate Water and Queen's Drive stops in the town.

The coach operator has confirmed that services throughout the festive season are now available to book.

This comes as planned rail disruption is set to take place between Tuesday, December 24 and Tuesday, January 2.

John Boughton, commercial director at National Express, said: "Christmas is such an important time of year for travel and people deserve reliable, comfortable and affordable public transport over the festive period.

"As always, we’re here to help bring families together, and we’re encouraging customers to book in advance to get the best prices and guarantee a seat for travel - whether it be to visit the Christmas markets, watch a pantomime, or simply travelling home for Christmas."

National Express’ coaches are fitted with leather reclining seats, free wi-fi, USB power sockets, and a luggage allowance of up to 20kg.

The operator runs services to hundreds of destinations across the country as well as major airports, festivals, and events.

It is also the official transport provider for Wembley Stadium.

The company operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week with thousands of services every day.
