A man has been left injured after a violent attack which saw his car stolen and set on fire.
Wiltshire Police were called to reports of an assault in the Longbridge Deverill area, near Warminster, just after 7am on Saturday morning, October 26.
The victim, who had gotten out of his car to check it was then attacked before having his car stolen.
But at around 8am on the same morning, officers received another report of a car on fire in the Hindon area, close to Salisbury.
The car set alight matches the description of the car stolen just an hour earlier, and a police investigation is now underway.
"We are appealing for witnesses following reports that a man was assaulted before having their car stolen in the Longbridge Deverill area," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police.
"If you witnessed either or have information that could help with our enquiries, please contact us on 101 quoting log number 67 of October 26."
