A Swindon theatre officially launched its pantomime, welcoming cast members for a special photoshoot.
The Wyvern Theatre kicked off its 2024 pantomime season with the official launch of "Cinderella", welcoming cast members to Swindon.
The group, including Coronation Street's Lisa George, Swindon panto stalwart David Ashley, Ben Goffe, Maisie Scarlett, and Jack Malin, gathered at Roves Farm for a photoshoot.
The actors embraced the farm's surroundings, showcasing their costumes against a backdrop of autumn colours and pumpkins.
During the photoshoot, Lisa George, who plays the Fairy Godmother, participated in transforming the pumpkins into a carriage, adding a touch of magic to the event.
The cast also explored the farm, enjoying a tractor ride and interacting with the animals, including goats.
The theatre describes "Cinderella" as a family-friendly pantomime, promising 'slapstick comedy', audience interaction, and musical numbers.
Lisa George takes on the role of the Fairy Godmother, Ben Goffe plays Buttons, and David Ashley returns as Dame Molly Miggins. Maisie Scarlett will play Cinderella and Jack Malin will be Prince Charming.
The production of "Cinderella" is handled by Imagine Theatre and is sponsored by Swindon Travel Hub.
The show will run from December 7, 2024, to January 5, 2025.
Tickets are available on the Trafalgar Tickets website.
The Wyvern Theatre encourages attendees to dress up for the occasion, promising an entertaining experience.
The pantomime teases the audience with the promise that a pair of shoes can change a life, a nod to the classic tale of Cinderella.
The theatre hopes the mix of comedy, music, and audience participation will make the show a memorable experience for all attendees.
