The town centre has been cleared after a tree collapsed and caused damage to the pavement outside several shops.
The tree in The Parade, Swindon, had been situated in the town centre for over 40 years, just outside the Costa Coffee and Superdrug.
But it collapsed on October 28 at around 4am, ripping up the surrounding paving as it became uprooted.
There was a cordon in place on Monday morning while workers were dealing with the fallen tree to make sure the area was safe, but nearby shops were still accessible.
By lunchtime, there were barriers placed around the tree stump, but the workers had left the scene.
A Swindon Borough Council spokesperson said: “A big thanks to our tree gang for their hard work early this morning to clear up the fallen tree in the town centre.
“The tree outside Costa Coffee on The Parade fell down at around 4am.
“The team have now cleared up the tree and The Parade has fully reopened.”
