A Swindon man described by police as “a risk to vulnerable women” has avoided jail after a guilty plea.

58-year-old Sean Morris, of Massinger Walk, admitted two breaches of a Sexual Risk Order at Swindon Magistrates Court on Friday, October 25.

Morris had been prohibited from entering the Broadgreen area between 5.30pm and 7am but breached this order on August 31 and September 12.

He was sentenced to 40 weeks in jail, suspended for 18 months.

Sexual Risk Orders are handed out by the court to individuals without convictions who are deemed to pose a risk to the public, of a sexual nature.

PC Katie Owers believes Morris is a particular risk to vulnerable women and sex workers.

She said: “Morris poses a particular risk to vulnerable women and sex workers.

“We secured this court order following a large amount of intelligence given to us by these women and partner agencies.

“It is vital that anyone who has concerns about someone's behaviour lets us know so that we can protect those vulnerable individuals.

“You can provide information by calling 101, or through our website: Report a crime, Wiltshire Police.”

Crimes can also be reported to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
