A supermarket employee in Swindon is celebrating 30 years of dedicated service.
Andy Thomson, a transport manager for Aldi, has been an “integral part” of the supermarket’s operations in the town for many years.
He previously worked as a pub landlord before joining Aldi in 1994.
Andy was employed as a trainee store manager and went on to open the Cheltenham Store in 1995 before being promoted to transport manager in Swindon.

He said: “It’s definitely the people that make Aldi such a great place to work.
“Over the years, I have worked with amazing colleagues and made many friends along the way.”
Aldi said Andy has gone “above and beyond” during his decades of service, even raising over £10,000 for Teenage Cancer Trust by taking part in a bike ride from London to Amsterdam in 2022.
Regional managing director Jody Hennah said: “With around 45,000 colleagues in the UK, it’s fair to say that people are our biggest and most brilliant asset at Aldi.
“Andy is no exception, and his commitment to Aldi’s values is a testament to why we are loved by so many. We look forward to celebrating even more of his achievements in the coming years.”
