The prices of bus tickets and multi-day travel passes will rise in Swindon next week.
Stagecoach will raise the prices of its TravelPass and DayRider tickets from November 3, 2023, across the Swindon and ‘Swindon Plus’ areas.
A TravelPass can also be used on Stagecoach, Swindon Bus Company and Pullhams services.
The new prices are:
An adult DayRider fare, for example, will rise from £4.50 to £4.80, and a one week adult travel pass will rise from £18.50 to £19.
A spokesperson said: "Following a price review there will be some changes to the prices of Swindon TravelPass multi-operator tickets, as of 3rd November. TravelPass tickets, are available to purchase and use on Stagecoach, Swindon Bus Company and Pullhams services in Swindon, and will continue to be available to buy for 7-day, 28-day and 13-week durations over two zones (Swindon and Swindon Plus).
"Thank you for your continued support."
It comes after Prime Minister Keir Starmer indicated that Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves will announce in the budget that the £2 cap on a single journey fare will be raised to £3 from January 1 to the end of 2025.
