The owner of a town centre restaurant is opening a second venue in Swindon.
Sushil Paudel, owner of Momo King, a Nepalese restaurant and bar that has been located on Havelock Street since 2019, will be expanding the business into Old Town.
He is preparing to open at 52 Devizes Road, where former restaurant Pick Up Point used to be before moving to join the team at Jack’s at 120 Victoria Road under the new name of House of Bun.
Over the last few weeks, the vacant unit has been cleared out ready for Momo King to move in.

Meanwhile, in the neighbouring empty unit which was formerly Connie’s Chinese Restaurant and takeaway, another town centre business will be moving in.

The Drink Valley based on Fleet Street is opening its second pub in Old Town and owner Dhiraj Pujari hopes to welcome customers in by the end of November.
Momo King began in 2009 in the Gloucester Green market in Oxford before they moving to Swindon in 2017 to run a stall at the Designer Outlet every weekend.
The town centre restaurant was rated the top food hygiene rating of five on December 14, 2023.
